The Rise of Reason

My POV

I support the Realign for Palestine initiative because it provides an essential platform for Palestinians who advocate for peace, a voice grounded in dignity, justice, and a clear commitment to improving the lives of our people. It reflects the aspirations of many Palestinians, including those closest to me, who want a future defined by coexistence, safety, freedom, and rights.

In my peacebuilding work, I’ve often navigated the complexity of advocating for Palestinian rights while challenging misconceptions around dialogue and normalization. The difference in our approach, and what Realign for Palestine represents, is that we confront the root causes of the conflict and the severe power asymmetries directly, while also investing in the human bridges needed for long-term change. Dialogue, when done with integrity, becomes a tool for co-resisting injustice, dismantling fear, and building shared capacity for a better future.

These spaces of conversation and connection are transformative. They allow us to humanize one another, break stereotypes, and collaborate with clarity and courage. They empower Palestinians, both in the homeland and the diaspora, to move beyond internal pressures and reclaim the values of coexistence and justice that many of us already hold but rarely feel safe expressing publicly. Realign for Palestine strengthens this often-silent community, giving it visibility and legitimacy at a critical moment.

The project’s platform at the Atlantic Council is both bold and strategic. It elevates a pragmatic, forward-looking Palestinian voice, one that challenges entrenched narratives while offering pathways toward coexistence and shared security. Supporting this initiative feels necessary because it amplifies the kind of leadership and vision our people urgently need.
